Tacoma mission trip

We'll be spending Memorial Day weekend in Tacoma, serving and loving on our neighbors who live just across the bridge! May 27th-May 30th we'll stay overnight at a church in Tacoma and spend time serving at the Tacoma Rescue Mission and other organizations who are bring the hope and love of Christ to the community of Tacoma. This is a great opportunity for students to get outside their comfort zone, fully rely on God, and serve others. Ultimately we will see how Gods love and grace extends to everyone, no matter what struggles or challenges they face, and students will get to be a part of sharing that love as the hands and feet of Jesus. This trip is limited to 10 students, participants are accepted on a first-come/first-served basis with possible preference given to 8th graders. Upon acceptance two mandatory training days are May 4th and May 11th 4:30pm-6:30pm, and a parent information meeting on May 4th 7:45-8:15pm. Contact Megan Johnsen for more information. *applications are due April 27th*

Alongside the Tacoma Rescue Mission, students and leaders serve meals to the homeless and needy within the Tacoma area. The first 15 students to sign up may come. Please dress to serve in modest, comfortable clothing with closed toed shoes.

We meet in the church parking lot at 6pm and leave by 6:15pm we return to the church around 8:30pm. Students need to be dropped off and picked up at the church.

*We will update you with information regarding the next Tacoma Street Ministries event. We serve the 3rd Friday of every other month from September - May.
